Joan Ravanelli Miller, ACUITY Joan Ravanelli Miller, J.D., Ph.D. is the General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources at ACUITY, A Mutual Insurance Company in Sheboygan, WI. Joan served as House Counsel at ACUITY from 1989 to 1994 when she was promoted to General Counsel/Governmental Affairs. She served in that capacity until 1995 when she left to pursue her master’s degree and Ph.D. She has spent the past eight years as a psychologist and Training Coordinator at the Marquette University Counseling Center. Prior to her initial tenure at ACUITY, she was a partner in the law firm of Nash, Spindler, Dean & Grimstad in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Joan has a BA, J.D., M.S., and Ph.D. from Marquette University and is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc.
