Career Expo

The Chamber of Manitowoc County, in cooperation with the Manitowoc County public and private high schools, UW-Manitowoc, Lakeshore Technical College and Holy Family College, are the proud hosts of the Career Expo. Approximately 1,000 high school sophomores gather to explore careers each January thanks to over 100 chamber member volunteers and county businesses.

Awards of Distinction

The Chamber’s most well-attended and prestigious business reception and dinner. Ten awards are bestowed on the best and brightest in our county. Held annually in February.

Chamber Golf Outing

This fun outing caters to experienced golfers and duffers alike every July. Spend a day in the sunshine (if we’re lucky) and get some serious business transacted among friends and associates.

Holiday Reception

Celebrate the season and the year’s successes with fellow Chamber members in December. Bring others in your company to expand their networks and their fun too.

YP Annual Banquet

This is an evening hosted by Young Professionals of Manitowoc County every November which recognizes the Future 15.  The Future 15 are young professionals in Manitowoc County that have set themselves apart from other individuals in both their personal and professional lives.

Reality Store

The Realty Store is a simulation program in which students identify their career interests, research a specific career, and receive a mock checkbook with the monthly income entered for the specific career.  Students learn about the impact of the educational choices they make today on their ability to enter various occupations and support various standards of living in their future.

Heavy Metal Bus Tour

The Heavy Metal Bus Tour provides 9-12th grades with the opportunity to see up close and personal the great career opportunities available in manufacturing. Students tour manufacturing facilities like Orion Energy Systems, Kaysun Corporation, LDI Industries, Eck Industries, Lakeside Foods, Formrite Companies, Jagemann Stamping Company and Parker Hannifin HPD. The students are provided with the opportunity to hear from industry professionals about career opportunities. Participants are welcome from all Manitowoc County High Schools.

Graduating Seniors Job Fair

The job fair is open to all graduating high school seniors from Manitowoc County, who are a looking for both summer and permanent employment opportunities. This job fair is specifically targeting students who have chosen to “stay local” after graduation.   Students will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers, collect applications and schedule interviews.

Made Here Construction Bus Tour

To provide high school students from all across our county with the opportunity to hear and see more about the great career options in the Construction Trades.  Participants will tour three or four construction sights and be provided with the opportunity to hear from industry professional about career opportunities.  The maximum number of participants for the event will be 30.
