The Chamber of Manitowoc County is excited to launch our Welcome Box initiative to warmly greet new community members and/or potential employees to the area. We invite businesses to contribute items that reflect the unique spirit and creativity of Manitowoc County. To ensure a cohesive and welcoming experience, please adhere to the following guidelines:
Donation Rules
- Minimum Quantity: Donations of products must be made in minimum quantities of 10 items. This helps us ensure that we can include each contribution in multiple Welcome Boxes.
- Welcoming Items Only: All donated items should be welcoming in nature and not sales-oriented. We encourage items that reflect the warmth and hospitality of Manitowoc County.
- FREE Items or Services: Offers of free items or services are welcome. However, please ensure that they align with the welcoming theme and adhere to the other guidelines. (Ex. A Coupon for a FREE glass of wine at a local restaurant.)
- Local Uniqueness: Items should reflect the uniqueness of products and services produced in Manitowoc County. Showcase what makes our community special!
- Non-Perishable & Shelf-Stable: All items must be non-perishable, shelf-stable, and adhere to TSA 3-1-1 rules. No liquids or gels are permitted.
- Individualized Boxes: Each Welcome Box will be individualized and assembled based on the needs and preferences of the recipients.
- Size: Items may not be larger than 12 1⁄8 x 9 1⁄4 x 4″.
- Exclusion Rights: The Chamber of Manitowoc County reserves the right to exclude or refuse any items at any time. This ensures that all donations meet our criteria and maintain the quality of the Welcome Boxes.
