Restaurant & Culinary Week|END 2018 – Experiences

The Chamber of Manitowoc County and the Manitowoc Area Visitor & Convention Bureau (MAVCB) have parntered on this event to not only allow our local restaurants to feature their unique specials, but also allow Manitowoc County to host special culinary activities and events – experiences.  This is an opportunity for locals and tourists to check out some of the finest cuisine and dishes and locations Manitowoc County has to offer.  Check this page to see all the activities being offered throughout the weekend!

Chop, cook and taste as you try recipes from Martha Sorenson’s family cookbook. The matriarch of a large Norwegian immigrant family, Martha Sorenson was talented with her home maker skills. Join us in the early 1900’s kitchen to learn her story, and connect around Norwegian recipes. 

Program cost: Free with admission to Manitowoc County Historical Society ($10 adults and $7 children)

Brew School with Paul Hoffman | Petskull Brewery 220 N. 9th St., Manitowoc

Paul invites you to see part of the brewery guests don’t normally get to see. The space is small so it is not really a “tour” but you will get an “education”. Learn how a porter is different from a stout, learn what it takes to make great beer. Participants will get to enjoy complimentary beer during the “tour”!
